I didn't read it close - for me the international infidel blogger award would have to go to Baron at gatesofvienna.blogspot.com

Fjordman, definitely. He's been writing about the problem for eons now. Give him an award before the Norwegian intelligence shut him down entirely.

Dymphna said...

May I do two nominations? IF so, I nominate Paul Belien, who has given so much allowed room for people like Fjordman and Takuan Seiyo.

The police have interrogated and harrassed him. He can't get a job because he is outspoken in his counterjihad views. The man has put his money and life on the line.

Blazingcatfur said...

Multiple nominations are fine Dymphna, just remember to vote!

This is a hard choice. So many hard working and high quality people to choose from. Still, Gates of Vienna, The Baron and Dymphna I think deserve top honors. It is a hard call though there are so many that are all very deserving.

Mark Steyn. Or should I save him for the Canadian category?

Robert Spencer's dedication is hard to beat.

This is not a 'blogger', but rather a 'blog' or a 'site': if this is the wrong category, please, move it around to the correct one:

I follow this blog quite a bit. Go on their youtube site and see all "threats" that they get from Muslims.

David Wood and Nabeel Qureshi of www.answeringmuslims.com and acts17.net

So many greats, hard to pick, but I would have to go with Pam Geller. Tough, focused, and always looking out the the little guy or gal.

Debbie Sclussel
I originally heard her on the Howard Stern show. I located her blog. It is under my favorites and I look at it several times a day. She is very informative and relevant.

There just are so many good choices here... If it was 'Best Scholar', it'd be Robert Spencer. 'Greatest emotional impact': Pamela Geller. But best overall blogger nomination goes to the Baron of Gates of Vienna.

Henrik R Clausen said...

OK, I need to have Robert Spencer in some category, and he fits best here. I want him nominated, too - we can't live without him.

1) Robert Spencer - Jihad Watch
2) Pamela Geller - Atlas Shrugs
3) Mark Steyn - All over the place
4) Bridgette Gabriel - Act for America

Plenty more noble folks and first rate writers out there (more than there is space for here, though I will single out Andrew Bostom and Nonie Darwish for honorable mention) but I think these people lead the pack in terms of breaking ground, leading the process of educating the public, the quantity and quality of their contributions, dedication, moral courage, intellectual integrity and sheer damn guts.

May the blessings of heaven shower down on them today and the thanks of history be awarded to their names hereafter.

To the best of what I know, I think Robert Spencer leads the way.

Thanks to Baron and Dymphna for all their hard work. Thanks to all who remain committed to getting the truth out!

This is a tough one for there are many excellent blogs, but Gates of Vienna stands out for me.

Gates of Vienna -- of Course!

From an European AND a Scandinavian
standpoint there is none comparable.
In considerable proportions we in the
transatlantic east get a lot of our oxygen
through GoV.

Also Belien's BJ and Auster are importent 'breathing holes'.

Atlas Shrugs - Pamela Geller

atlas shrugs: pamela geller

we love huh!!!!

Nobody said...

This year, Debbie!!! Atlas is too sympathetic to Muslim honor killing victims, which is misplaced priorities, and Spencer regularly falls short of recognizing all Muslims as potentially lethal.

Medusa said...

Pamela Geller. She totally rocks!!!

If I were allowed two votes: David Horowitz.

Medusa said...

I suck. I love David Horowitz, but I meant to say Robert Spencer.

But since I can't have two votes anyway, it doesn't really matter...

costin said...

It's a hard choice. There is quite a nice bunch of people out there, but for the incredible ammount of effort put over the years in creating one of the most interesting places on the web, I go for Baron and Dymphna from Gates of Vienna.

Melanie Philips, who is doing excellent commentary at Spectator.uk. She is fairly well known, so I wont burden you with my discription.

and

Ester at Islam in Europe...which is a great source for news articles about Islam in Europe. She doesnt say much, but I find the effort in collecting information very useful...as an extremely handy one stop reference for following the latest in Europe.

I would like to nominate Baron Bodissey of Gates of Vienna. Gates of Vienna is a truly international site and the Baron has done a great deal of work to create a united Euro-American front to the global jihad. Global unity from people of different cultures and continents is vital if the jihad is to be stopped in its tracks. Gates of Vienna is leading the way in this regard and deserves recognition for its tireless work.
